The Islamoholic would like to congratulate all those who were involved in the BERSIH rally last Saturday. You deserve the congratulations even though you realised that things could have gotten nasty. But alhamdulillah, everything went well. It should be noted that the organisers of the protest issued a directive for those wishing to participate in the rally, which The Islamoholic received as follows:
This is of course only the beginning. Calling for democratic reform is going to be a long and hard process, and it does not end with just a rally (or even a series of rallies). Too many issues need to be resolved and the masses educated about them before one can hope for some sort of change in the electoral process. I pray that the day for that is not too far away.
On a side note, The Islamoholic was at the rally and as was originally suspected, there were no Islam Liberal chickens running around. Fortunate or unfortunately, that depends on how you see it.
I love it when I am proven right all the time.
It will be a historic rally and certainly an event not to be missed. The Islamoholic implores that all Muslim Malaysians come in droves to this event in show of support for free and fair democratic elections in the country. Sheikh Yusuf al-Qaradawi, the renowned mujtahid of current times had indeed stated in one of his fiqh books that one of the legal ways to overthrow a government and initiate change in an administration is to participate in peaceful rallies or demonstrations against tyranny and oppression. In other words, it is an Islamic duty to struggle for justice and fight dictatorship.
Little of course should be said for the Islam Liberal hypocrites. We are 100% certain that they will not be attending, despite what they may say to the contrary.

The Islamoholic is certainly not a Hajjah yet but being in this holy place for nearly the whole month of Ramadhaan is surreal. It gives you a clearer inward perception onto your soul, that is certain. Regardless, yours truly certainly is back to strike fear into the Islamophobes, Deists, Hypocrites and Islam Liberals alike. Oh wait a minute…they are pretty much the same thing: al-kufru millaatun wahidah.
So did you miss me?
