Some Malaysian bloggers are becoming more and more Islamophobic by the minute as they bristle at the protests made by various groups pressuring Gwen Stefani to “cover up” if she wants to perform here. One particular Islamophobic blogger, whom The Islamoholic certainly has no wish to name or link to, even went to the extent of photoshopping Gwen Stefani in a Muslim attire, complete with the hijab and jubah. Apart from his rather bad photoshopping skills which even a seven-year old kid can do a better nose surgery, The Islamoholic finds this gesture to be very, very offensive and insults the religious sensibilities of Muslims.

Hello, this country is a Muslim nation. There are rules in this country which everyone should abide by. Just because you are so desperate to wank at Gwen Stefani’s attire does not change the fact that she must abide by the modesty sensibilities of this nation, the majority of whom are Muslims.

And poor Akon got dragged into the issue too, even though according to Wikipedia:

Akon holds the record for most guest performances on popular television show American Idol with two. He once sung The Sweet Escape with Gwen Stefani and three weeks later he sung Don’t Matter on the show while it was number one on the Billboard charts.

Ah, the irony….I am at loss for words to describe the extremes to which you went to just to drag Akon (because he is a Muslim…yet another indication that you are an Islamophobe) into the picture, when the issue certainly has got nothing whatsoever to do with him.

Kalau kamu tidak suka, kamu boleh keluar dari Malaysia. Period.

Akon performed in Malaysia earlier. Given how Akon behaved and the different treatment he got compared to Gwen Stefani, a comparison is all too natural.

So I guess Muslims are allowed to grind and dry hump young women they’re not married to on stage?

    Double standard much?

If you’re going to slam Gwen Stefani, do the same to Akon. Why the prejudice?

If anything, YOU should be against Akon coming here. He’s a Muslim and he does things like that on stage. It’s pathetic how you call that being Islamophobic. I call that being stupid.

[The Islamoholic: Who died and elected you, the murtadd, to teach me about Islam? I am not supporting either artiste, in case you have a deficient mind and have a severe lack of comprehension skills.]
