For all their talk about being the beacon of democracy, the champion of freedom and the advocate of human rights, their hypocrisy sure starts to show when my sisters in Britain go about expressing their faith by wearing the niqab.
Something in me just feels like lashing out after I read this story. Should I decry the hypocrisy of the West in their abuse of Muslims? Should I write about the double-standards and negative image that the West has of Islam, despite the fact that Muslims have been living in these countries for years? I do not see the point. But I sure feel that these people do not have the right to tell us how we conduct our religious affairs when all this while the Muslim-majority nations have been more than fair to their non-Muslim minorities.
