The Islam Liberals’ hatred and contempt for Islam and Islamic civilisations is well-known. They may profess to be “Muslims” in your face, adopt what they would call “rituals related to Islam” but behind everyone and everything else, they have a disease in their hearts and would rather exalt the virtues of a decadent, pagan empire rather than the universal values of Islam.

That, in essence, is their “logic” of things.

In yet another amazing incredulity of the championing for an expired, long-dead Hindu-Buddhist kingdom of Srivijaya (which was invaded by and greatly weakened by King Chola of Sri Lanka, and eventually destroyed by the kingdoms of Jambi and Majapahit), a low-level liberal proposed the “theory” that since Srivijaya was such a wonderful and all-encompassing kingdom, its place in the history of Malaysia should not be denied. Of course the real question here is simply this: what place or significant contribution does Srivijaya have in Malaysian history anyway? Apart from the fact that the founder of the Malacca Sultanate was a Srivijayan prince (Parameswara, who later reverted to Islam and took on the name Sultan Iskandar Shah), Srivijaya does not deserve any place in the annals of the history of this nation.

They can earn their place in the history of the Nusantara as a whole, but that is a different story altogether.

Perhaps The Islamoholic will never be able to tap into the Islam Liberal mind after all, due to their utter lack of common sense. They will exalt an extinct Hindu-Buddhist civilisation in order to dilute the Islamic culture that has permeated this country since the founding of Malacca.

Perhaps they should move to India and convert to Hinduism instead!

Jambi was Srivijaya. Didn’t you know that Palembang together with Melayu-Jambi formed the capital of Srivijaya?

    Read history la menj.

[The Islamoholic: I guess you didn't even read your own Wikipedia entry, too bad. And I am not MENJ.]

Just wanted to point out that the Cholas were a Tamil dynasty from India not Sri Lanka.

Anyway, I am really interested in the history of Malaysia and the fact is that it does not begin with the Mallacca Sultanate. There is nothing to be ashamed in sayign that the people of the Malayan peninsula were once Hindus or animists or idol worshipers, so were the Arabs before the coming of Islam.

It reminds me of an incident where a guy once told me that the ruins in the Bujang valley of Kedah were that of Indians. They were not.

[The Islamoholic: Nothing wrong about that either, but exalting a pagan culture is a different story altogether. You don't see Saudis wanting to "exalt the return of the Jahiliyyah culture in Makkah", do you?]

A straight line drawn from Malaysia to the Arab House of God, passes through numerous temples of India. So, remember that most face the hindu, buddist, jain temples during their prayers. And that pissinf in that direction is not allowed.
I also heard that you pray (pilgrims kiss) the black stone in the House of God and is that not pagan stone worshipping though you speak against idols?
